North West Circumcisions was the first clinic to provide religious and cultural circumcision in Manchester, established in 1995. We care for infant boys aged 12 months and under in a calm, modern, CQC-registered clinic.
Our story
When we opened in 1995, we were the first dedicated clinic offering religious and cultural circumcision in Manchester. More than thirty years later, families still travel to us from across Greater Manchester, Liverpool, Stoke, Yorkshire, London, Scotland, Ireland and at times wider Europe.
Our reputation has been built quietly, one family at a time — through careful explanation, meticulous hygiene, and genuine reassurance. We are proud that many of our clients come from the medical field themselves, bringing their own infant sons to our service.
Having recently moved from Wilmslow Road to a modern, purpose-suited clinic in Stretford, our commitment remains exactly the same: safe, expert, unhurried care that respects every family who walks through our doors.

Dr Abid is a fully qualified general practitioner registered with the General Medical Council, working across Greater Manchester. He is the registered manager for North West Circumcisions with the Care Quality Commission.
Practising in Manchester and Huddersfield, Dr Abid has extensive experience performing the Plastibell circumcision procedure — the most widely used method for infant circumcision in the UK and USA. Parents consistently describe him as calm, professional and thorough, taking the time to explain every detail of the procedure and aftercare so families feel genuinely at ease.

We provide religious and cultural circumcision for infant boys aged 12 months and under. Our clientele is wonderfully diverse, and every family is treated with the same respect and care.
Muslim, Jewish and Christian families choose us for circumcision carried out to a high clinical standard in a respectful setting.
We care for families of Indo-Pakistani, Arab, African and wider heritage — and welcome everyone equally.
